Twins

Two souls wander about searching, knowing not what they seek.
Two hearts so tender and so meek.
Trials they weather and weary they grow
As they keep seeking that which they do not know.

Together at the start so long ago
It’s been so long that they don’t remember though.
Their paths cross and then cross once more
They begin to see what’s in store.

As they come closer they begin to see
What’s missing in you is there in me.
Ghosts of memories past begin to arise
As the two souls stare into each other’s eyes.

Like a moth to the flame the two are drawn,
And together they see a new day dawn.
As the halves reunite and are made whole
A victory from the clutch of darkness is stole.

And so it is that I say unto ye
The missing parts of you are alive within me.
You are my pair, my other half, my twin
And this is our day to win.

We’ll teach them to live and we’ll teach them to love.
We’ll teach them to appreciate the heavens above.
With the strength of our restored light
Together we’ll lead them through the darkness of night.
